Nuwakot. Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal has said that the people stranded in Kerung of China due to the Bhotekoshi floods will be brought back to Nepal through an alternative route.
“As per the preliminary information, there are around 1,000 Nepalis in Kerung and we will bring them back to Nepal through alternative route,” he said. ”
He said that the Chinese side has already requested the Chinese side to operate the Tatopani border point in Sindhupalchowk and use the Korala border point in Mustang. Minister Khanal said that Chinese and Indian experts have been called after foreign assistance was found necessary for the rescue of those trapped in the tunnel of the hydropower project.
“We can also take help from other countries if needed”, he said, adding, “We have been getting commitments of support from the world community. We will take help as per the need.” ”
