Kathmandu. The ‘Nepal Electric, Power, Light and Nepal Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances International Exhibition’ scheduled to be held at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu from September 19 to 21 has been postponed.

However, the organizers said that the exhibition has been postponed as the devastating floods and landslides in Nepal have caused huge loss of life and property.

The event has been postponed with the conclusion that it would not be appropriate to conduct a trade show at a time when the country is going through a difficult situation due to natural calamities. In addition, keeping in mind the sensitive situation of national mourning and reconstruction, the security awareness of the Government of Nepal and the travel awareness issued by the neighboring countries for their citizens has also been based, the organizer said.

The event has been postponed for the time being, prioritizing the safety and ease of travel of exhibitors, visitors and other stakeholders.

According to the organizers, the new date of the exhibition will be announced once the situation becomes normal and the necessary infrastructure is operational.

The organizers have apologized to the participants, exhibitors and stakeholders for postponing the event due to the natural disaster and thanked them for their support and goodwill.
