Landslide in Stock Market: Investors Focus on Cement by Selling Hydro, Non-Life Insurance

In the market, investors have started buying the shares of the cement company by selling the shares of the hydropower company and the non-life insurance company. It is said that the investors are moving towards the production company due to the fear of the loss of the hydropower company and the claims of the non-life insurance company.

The sub-index of the hydropower group decreased by 2.94 percent while the sub-index of the non-life insurance group decreased by 5.03 percent. The prices of all 13 non-life insurance companies declined. The prices of three hydropower companies increased while the prices of 107 companies declined.

Except for the manufacturing and processing sub-group indices, all the indices of the manufacturing and processing sub-group fell in the red. In trading, the market gauge index declined by 43.89 points to 2,513.42 points. Shares of 9,322,125 shares of 347 companies were traded at Rs 3,64,86,09,000.

The prices of 21 companies have increased in the transaction while the prices of the remaining 253 companies have decreased. Among the biggest losers today are Mailungkhola Hydropower Company and Rasuwagadhi Hydropower and Chilime Hydropower Company.
