Chitwan. Gas bottling has been done outside the capital after the road collapsed at Krishnabhir on the Prithvi Highway.

The gas factories in the Kathmandu Valley and neighbouring districts have decided to supply the gas bullets in vehicles after the bullets carrying gas could not go to the Kathmandu Valley.

According to Dewan Chand, president of Nepal LP Gas Industry Association, the NOC has allowed the industrialists to fill LPG outside the national capital.

A total of 16 industries in the Kathmandu Valley and neighbouring districts have decided to supply LPG in coordination with industries in Bara, Parsa, Chitwan, Makwanpur and Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East). He said that more than 40 percent of the total consumption of gas is required in the Kathmandu Valley and neighboring districts.

Bimal Kalakheti, operator of Baba Gas, who is also a member of the association, said that until the road to Krishna Bhir is opened, the gas will be filled in other industries and taken to Kathmandu through an alternative route. He said that the gas filled in the factories of these districts will be taken to Kathmandu through the roads including the Tribhuvan Highway. He suggested not to keep reserves as there would be no shortage in the Kathmandu Valley and neighboring districts as the work of filling gas in the industries outside has already started.

According to Kalakheti, Shree Gas has started filling gas in Baba, Sri Krishna has started filling gas in Saibaba, Shree Ram has started filling gas in Janaki, Nepal Gas has started filling gas in Nepal Gandaki, Everest and Sugam has started filling gas in Sahara industry. He said that other industries have also started filling gas in coordination with industries outside the capital or other industries.
