Kathmandu. The Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers have been urged to remain on high alert even though the water level is below the warning level. The Hydrology and Water Resources Research Center, Flood Forecasting Division has asked the people to remain alert even though the water level in these rivers is low following the floods in the Bhotekoshi River on August 26.

According to the Flood Forecasting Bulletin issued by the Flood Forecasting Division here today, the water level in the small rivers flowing through Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Ramechhap, Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchowk, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kathmandu, Dhading, Gorkha, Lamjung and Dolpa districts is likely to increase significantly and there is a moderate risk of flash floods.

Similarly, the water level of small rivers flowing through districts around Rukum (East), Rukum (West), Jajarkot, Darchula, Baitadi, Dadeldhura, Doti, Kailali and Kanchanpur districts would increase significantly, and there would be moderate risk of flash floods.
