4 temporary routes including Dhadingbeshi-Sunaula Bazaar-Bhorle, Laskare-Koshikhola-Forsetar-Kalleritar

Dhading. Four alternative roads have been designated as temporary transport routes to ease the operation of traffic from Dhading district headquarters to various destinations after the unexpected floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli River damaged roads and bridges on the morning of August 26.

Among them, Dhadingbeshi-Sunaula Bazaar-Bhorle, Laskre-Koshikhola-Forsetar-Kalleritar are said to be effective. A total of 36 kilometers of the road has been pitched at some places. In some places, it is in the process of being upgraded, while in some places, it is necessary to immediately upgrade and install a bailey bridge in Koshikhol. Lawmaker Bodh Narayan Shrestha also conducted an on-site inspection of the condition of this road.

A meeting of the transport committee presided over by Chief District Officer and Transport Management Committee Chairman Laxmi Pandeya (Gautam) on Monday decided to allow the transport services disrupted and affected by the disaster through alternative routes.

The committee has also designated the roads leading to Chitwan and Pokhara via Dhadingbesi-Bhulbhule-Patle-Phyakse-Syaldanda-Dandagaon-Koshikhola-Forsetar, Parewatar-Adamtar-Belintar-Mastar, and Dhadingbesi-Taribesi-Salyantar-Arughat-Gorkhabazar-Abukhaireni.

The meeting has also assigned the responsibility of upgrading and emergency repair of these roads to the concerned government offices. The responsibility of Dhadingbeshi-Sunaula Bazaar-Bhorle, Laskare-Koshikhola-Forsetar-Kalleritar road has been given to the Infrastructure Development Office, Dhading. The Road Division Nuwakot will upgrade and repair the Parewatar-Pipaltar-Adamtar-Belintar-Mastar road.

Similarly, the Intensive Urban and Building Construction Project Office has decided to upgrade and repair the Dhadingbeshi-Bhulbhule-Patle-Phyakse-Syaldanda-Dandagaun-Kosikhola-Forsetar road as soon as possible. After the floods damaged the roads and bridges connecting Dhadingbesi to the Prithvi Highway, it was decided to use the alternative road as a temporary route to make the transport service regular and easy.

Chief District Officer Pandey shared that the committee has designated the roads as temporary routes as per the existing vehicle and transportation laws.
