Kathmandu. The National Assembly has passed a special resolution expressing sorrow over the loss of life and property due to the floods in the Bhotekoshi river. Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal presented the special proposal in today’s meeting of the assembly. The assembly passed the motion unanimously.
The meeting of the assembly has expressed condolences to the families of the people who lost their lives in the Bhotekoshi floods. The special proposal has mentioned the rescue of the flood-affected people, night and rehabilitation of the flood-affected people, search for the incommunicado, free treatment of the injured and scientific dead management.
The special proposal reads that the government should pay special attention to adopt effective measures for disaster management and disaster risk reduction in the future by maintaining national unity through cooperation, collaboration and coordination among all three tiers of government, local community, civil society, private sector, development partners and the international community.
