Kathmandu. The government has decided to cancel all scheduled programs of the 23rd Civil Service Day to be celebrated this year.

A meeting of the Civil Service Day Main Celebration Committee took the decision in this regard, according to the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration.

According to a letter issued by the Ministry, the programme has been cancelled keeping in mind that the country is in mourning due to the disaster caused by the massive flooding at the Nepal-China border in Rasuwagadhi and the need for civil servants and security personnel to be deployed in search, rescue and relief work.

KATHMANDU: The government has urged all bodies concerned to make arrangements to deposit the budget appropriated for the 23rd Civil Service Day being observed on September 8 in the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund.
