KATHMANDU: Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has provided financial assistance of Rs 60 lakh for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.
The company has donated the amount to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund (PMLF) to provide support to the families affected by the floods on August 24.
Chief Executive Officer of Sun Nepal Life, Raj Kumar Aryal, handed over a cheque of Rs 60 lakh to the fund through Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle. The company’s Director Shashank Agrawal and Company Secretary Binod Sharma Poudel were also present on the occasion.
The company has expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the people who lost their lives due to floods and disasters. It also wished speedy recovery to those injured in the floods and pledged to extend a helping hand in the future to provide necessary support to the families affected by the natural disaster.
According to the company, the financial assistance has been provided under the social responsibility. The company believes that this assistance will help in the rehabilitation work along with immediate relief to the people affected by the disaster.
Various government and non-governmental organizations are providing support for rescue, relief and rehabilitation after the floods in the Bhotekoshi River caused a lot of damage in Rasuwa and surrounding areas. Sun Nepal Life has also said that it has fulfilled its social responsibility and helped in the time of national disaster.
