Increasing gas shortage: Bottling started in LP gas cylinders from outside Kathmandu Valley

Chitwan. After the road collapsed at Krishnabhir on the Prithvi Highway, cooking gas has started being taken outside the federal capital Kathmandu (bottling). After the bullets carrying gas could not enter Kathmandu through an alternative route, the gas was started filling cylinders outside.

There is a shortage of gas in the market at present. STC gas of Salt Trading Corporation is being supplied by filling it at Manoj Gas in Birgunj.

According to Bimal Kalakheti, operator of Baba Gas, Baba Gas of Chitwan has sent 1,500 Shree gas cylinders to Kathmandu on Tuesday. Shree Gas’s plant is located in Naubise, Dhading. Dewan Chand, president of Nepal LP Gas Industry Association, informed that the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has given permission to industrialists to fill gas outside the capital. A total of 16 industries located in the valley and neighboring districts have started filling up the valley in coordination with the industries of Bara, Parsa, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) and Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta West).
