Kathmandu. Ramgopalpur Municipality of Mahottari has decided to provide Rs 31 lakh to the flood-affected people of Rasuwa. The municipality has decided to donate Rs 31,35,134 to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund for the relief, rescue and rehabilitation of the flood-affected people, said Mayor Ram Dular Sah.
“The internal resources of the municipal budget, people’s representatives, employees and teachers of community schools have contributed to the relief,” said Mayor Sah, adding, “We have appealed to all sides to help in such disasters.” Earlier, Gaushala, Bardibas, Bhangaha, Aurahi and Matihani municipalities had sent Rs 47.50 lakh to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund to help the flood-affected people. There are 10 municipalities and five rural municipalities in Mahottari district.
