NUWAKOT: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal held direct discussions with the people’s representatives and Chief Administrative Officer of the concerned local levels regarding temporary and permanent rehabilitation of the affected local levels of Bidur and Belkotgadhi municipalities of Nuwakot district.

Minister Rawal reached Nuwakot on Thursday and held discussions with the mayor and deputy mayor of Bidur Municipality, ward chairs, Chief District Officer, chiefs of security agencies and other stakeholders regarding the situation of flood-affected people, management of the people in holding centers, temporary and permanent resettlement and long-term management of the landless.

During the discussion, Minister Rawal expressed his commitment to provide all necessary support from the federal government for the long-term management and rehabilitation of the flood-affected families. He said that along with immediate relief, the safe and long-term management of the affected families will be prioritized. Minister Rawal also requested the municipalities to provide the details of the people in the holding centers as soon as possible.
