Kathmandu. The bodies of 1,290 people who lost their lives in the Rasuwa floods have been recovered so far. As many as 4,798 people who went missing after the floods are still missing.
According to Nepal Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Abi Narayan Kafle, the bodies recovered include 34 boys, 45 girls, 250 women and 427 men. According to the police, 532 bodies with partial limbs have been recovered. Two died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Similarly, 4,798 people are still missing due to the floods, according to the police. According to the police, 2,369 men and 478 women are missing. According to spokesman Kafle, 1,350 people are missing from the phone and 601 from the foreign nationals.
The police have continued the work of identifying and managing the bodies found from various flood-affected places. As a large area is affected, the work of identifying, documenting and managing the bodies found in possible places is underway.

According to the Police Headquarters, 8,197 people have been rescued so far after the floods. Of the rescued, 4,618 are male and 2,472 are female. Similarly, 903 foreign nationals have been rescued while 152 are female. Of them, 52 unidentified people have also been rescued, according to the police data.
Search operation underway by security agencies
Security agencies have continued search and rescue operations as a large number of people are out of contact following the floods. The search is underway in coordination with the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, local levels and other stakeholders.
According to the police, DNA samples of 1,862 people, including 1,143 people and 719 relatives of the deceased, have been collected. The process of DNA testing has been started to facilitate the identification of the missing and found bodies.
926 Body Management
According to the police, the bodies of 926 people have been safely disposed of on the ground so far. The management of the bodies is going on after completing the necessary procedures.
The police have said that they are continuing the search operation in all possible places. The data of the missing is also being updated on the basis of the information received and the details received from the family members.
