Kathmandu. Member of the House of Representatives and Minister for Information and Communications Dr. Bikram Timilsina has reached Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj to meet the people affected by the floods in Bhotekoshi of Rasuwa district last Wednesday. He inquired about the health condition and treatment arrangements of the people being treated there.

Minister Timilsina reached the TU Teaching Hospital on Friday afternoon and took stock of the health condition of the injured and affected people, the arrangements made for their treatment and the overall management of the hospital.

He met with the people undergoing treatment and inquired about their health condition, if there were any problems during the treatment and the health services being provided by the hospital.

According to the hospital, 29 of the 78 people rescued from the Bhotekoshi floods are undergoing treatment till Friday. The hospital has said that other people who have improved their health condition after treatment have been discharged.

The hospital officials informed Minister Timilsina that there was no problem in the treatment of the flood victims so far and the people being treated were getting easy health services from the hospital.

On the occasion, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Timilsina called for effective coordination and management among the bodies concerned to ensure treatment of injured and affected people and essential health services during the disaster.

He pledged that the government would provide necessary support from the state level in case any problems are seen during the treatment or additional health services, treatment materials and other arrangements are needed.

The injured and affected people who were rescued from different places after the floods in the Bhotekoshi area have been brought to Kathmandu and are undergoing treatment at different health facilities.

The government has given priority to the health condition of the rescued people, continuity of treatment and necessary management.
