Janakpurdham. The Guthi Sansthan is preparing to remove the structures constructed by encroaching upon various ponds and ponds under the Guthi within Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City.

Issuing a public notice, the Guthi Sansthan Janakpurdham has directed the government to remove the structures that have been being used by various individuals and organizations by constructing unauthorized structures in the ponds and ponds under the Guthi.

In the first phase, the encroachment of seven ponds was removed, said Rajan Kaushi, chief of the Guthi Sansthan, Janakpurdham. According to him, in the second phase, preparations have been made to remove the encroachment of Dewan Pokhari (Chandrakoop), Madhyama Sir, Rukmini Sir, Bidal Sir (Birahi), Genhi Pokhari, Thadi Pokhari, Lavki Pokhari (Rajaul), Kapalmochani Sir, Purandar Sir, Lavki Pokhari (northeast of Zeromile), Laxman Sir (Balram Sir), Papmochani Sir, Agnikunda, Sitakunda and Viharkunda among other ponds and their deals.

The Guthi Sansthan has issued a public notice directing the concerned individuals and organizations to vacate the structures and encroached areas constructed unauthorizedly within seven days. The Sansthan has also warned that action will be taken as per the prevailing law if the encroachment is not removed within the stipulated time.

According to the Guthi Sansthan, the notice has been issued on the basis of the decision of the report of the High Level Task Force for the Protection and Management of Guthi Land, 2062 Implementation Committee. Earlier, the Guthi Sansthan had removed encroachments from seven ponds including Gorodhai Pokhari, Dasharath Talau and Bisahara Pokhari in Janakpurdham by using dozers.
