Bhotekoshi floods: 38 injured discharged, 12 admitted to Bhotekoshi Trauma Centre

Kathmandu. A total of 58 people injured in the floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on August 26 were rescued and brought to Kathmandu and 38 people have been discharged from the National Trauma Center till date.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Dan Bahadur Thapa of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, 50 people injured in the floods were brought to the National Trauma Center for treatment. So far, 38 people have been discharged after their health condition improved.TAG_OPEN_div_22

At present, 12 injured are being treated at the National Trauma Center. According to the hospital administration, the health condition of most of the injured is normal and they are being treated in normal bed.TAG_OPEN_div_20

Nepal Police has set up a citizen help desk at Bir Hospital and National Trauma Centre to provide necessary information to the relatives of those injured in the Bhotekoshi floods.TAG_OPEN_div_18

TAG_OPEN_div_16 Police said that people are coming to the help desk to inquire about the health condition of the injured and to note down the details of the incommunicado relatives. Relatives who have reached the hospital are enquiring about the health condition and treatment of their family members.

TAG_OPEN_div_14 Search and rescue operations are still underway in the affected areas after the Bhotekoshi floods caused huge loss of life and property. Police said that the concerned bodies are taking initiatives to coordinate with the relatives of the victims and the missing persons along with the treatment of the rescued injured.

Rescue and relief operations have been intensified in the aftermath of the floods, while priority has been given to search for the contactless persons, treatment of the injured and provide necessary assistance to the affected families.TAG_OPEN_div_12
