Kathmandu. The bodies of 244 people who lost their lives in the floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on August 26 have been brought to Tribhuvan Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.

Hospital’s forensic lab chief Dr Gopal Chaudhary said 244 bodies of the deceased have been brought to the Teaching Hospital.

Out of the 244 bodies brought to the hospital, 161 bodies have been temporarily managed. Similarly, 24 bodies have been identified and handed over to their families and relatives, said Dr Chaudhary.

At present, 59 bodies are in the hospital. The hospital has said that the bodies will be managed after the post-mortem as the post-mortem of some bodies is yet to be done.
