KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Ravi Lamichhane and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a telephone conversation today.

During the telephonic conversation, Secretary of State Rubio expressed his condolences to the victims of the floods and expressed solidarity with the Nepali people and the government.

On the occasion, President Lamichhane said that maximum efforts are being made on behalf of the party in the ongoing search, rescue and relief distribution works of the Government of Nepal. He also assured Foreign Minister Rubio that Nepal is committed to the safety and protection of foreign nationals affected by the recent floods here.

President Lamichhane has also thanked the US government for the support received in this difficult time. Meanwhile, Secretary of State Rubio has said that the United States is ready to provide additional support to the government of Nepal.
