NC’s 15th General Convention: Ward convention to begin from September 19

The ward convention of the Nepali Congress (NC) under its 15th general convention is set to begin from September 19.

{{TAG_OPEN_div_18} The ward convention of the Nepali Congress, which was scheduled to start from September 10, has been postponed due to the floods in Bhotekoshi of Rasuwa.

Issuing a press release today, NC Election Committee Coordinator Prem Bahadur Khadka informed that the ward convention will be held on September 16 and 18. On that day, conventions will be held in 6,743 wards across the country and regional representatives will be elected.TAG_OPEN_div_16

The convention of the rural municipalities, municipalities, sub-metropolitan cities and metropolitan cities will be held on September 23, while the regional convention of the provincial assembly and the regional convention of the House of Representatives will be held on September 26, said coordinator Khadka. The central general convention will be held in Kathmandu from September 1 to 29.TAG_OPEN_div_14

According to coordinator Khadka, the convention would be held in coordination with the returning officers and local levels of the party in case of flood-affected Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading districts.TAG_OPEN_div_12

The remaining conventions of the Nepali Janasamparka Samiti are scheduled to be held by September 26. Coordinator Khadka said that the schedule of district conventions and provincial conventions will be published in the second phase.
