Huge revenue collection increases after floods in Bhotekoshi

Mustang. The revenue collection at the Mustang Customs Office has increased significantly after the complete closure of the border point (Rasuwagadhi-Kerung) due to floods in Bhotekoshi.

According to the Customs Office, more than Rs TAG_OPEN_div_18 560 million revenue has been collected from September 26 to September 23.

With the simultaneous closure of Rasuwa and Tatopani border points, the Mustang Customs Office has become the only alternative checkpoint. Customs Chief Bidur Chudal said that 88 cargo containers and 130 electric vehicles (EVs) entering Nepal via Korlana have passed the customs clearance.

Up to TAG_OPEN_div_14 15 electric vehicles and more than 10 containers imported from Korala border point have entered Nepal on a daily basis.

According to Chudal, 163 electric vehicles and 133 containers carrying goods were cleared customs from July to August 26 of the current fiscal year. Revenue of Rs 52.80 crore was collected in forty days. The customs office has so far collected Rs 1.08 billion in revenue.TAG_OPEN_div_12

In the fiscal year TAG_OPEN_div_10 2082/83, Mustang Customs had collected Rs 6.92 billion.
