KATHMANDU: InDrive, a global mobility and delivery platform, has contributed ¥75 million to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund (¥500,000) to support the Government of Nepal’s ongoing efforts to provide relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction to the families and communities affected by the recent Bhotekoshi floods.

The assistance amount was handed over to Hon’ble Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle on September 9, 2026 in the presence of representatives of Indrive Nepal. It was handed over to Swarnim Wagle.

The Bhotekoshi flood caused by the snowfall and rocky landslides near the Nepal-China border on August 26 has caused huge human and physical damage in various places of Nuwakot and Dhading in the lower riparian areas including Rasuwa. Apart from the loss of life and property, houses, schools, bridges, hydropower projects and other important public infrastructure have also been badly damaged due to the disaster. Search, rescue and relief operations are underway in the flood-affected areas while the search for the missing persons is continuing.

With the financial contribution made to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund, Indrive has provided direct relief to the flood-affected communities. Under this, necessary relief materials have been provided to the flood-affected families of Bidur Municipality Ward No-9 of Nuwakot immediately.

Under the direct relief assistance, essential items such as foodgrains, solar lights, induction stoves, blankets and sanitary pads were distributed keeping in mind the immediate needs of the affected families. The main objective of this initiative was to provide immediate relief to the affected families by providing them with basic materials necessary to carry out their daily life in the difficult situation after the disaster.
