Kathmandu. The stock market rose on Friday, the last trading day of the week. The stock market, which had been continuously declining in the previous trading days, has increased positively on Friday after Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle announced a 10-12 point plan related to the capital market.
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has said that the government will bring a 10 to 12-point special reform program for the development and expansion of the capital market.
On Friday, the NEPSE index rose by 27.94 points to close at 2,559.49 points. Today, the trading volume has also increased along with the stock market. Shares worth Rs 4.36 billion were traded on Thursday as compared to Rs 4.36 billion on Thursday.
The indices of all the 13 sub-groups traded today have increased. Among them, the index of hydropower sub-group has increased by 1.83 percent today. The index of investment and non-life insurance sub-group has increased by more than 1.5 percent, while the index of development bank and business sub-group has increased by more than 1 percent.
The share price of Upkar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has increased the most in today’s trading. The share price of this company has increased by 10.53 percent. Similarly, the share price of Abhiyan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has increased by more than 10 percent and the share price of Sindhu Bikas Bank has increased by 9.5 percent. The share price of Multipurpose Finance Company has fallen by 5.71 percent in today’s trading.
