Kathmandu. The Jahare substation in Dhading, which was inundated due to floods, has been reopened after repairs.

The Bhotekoshi flood of August 24 had caused damage to the electrical equipment and structures after the substation at Jaharekhet accumulated up to 10 feet of muddy water.

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) had mobilized manpower, equipment and necessary materials to carry out the repair and rehabilitation work at a rapid pace. The substation was reopened on September 11 at 2:00 pm.

With the operation of the substation, power supply has been restored in Gajuri Bazaar, 22 kilo area under Adamghat feeder and Kiranchok-Milantar under Pida feeder, according to NEA. According to NEA, power supply has gradually returned to normal in the affected areas after the substation came into operation.

Necessary repair and rehabilitation works have been taken up with priority to ensure regular and reliable service.
