PM Shah holds discussion with people’s representatives of local levels declared as disaster-hit zone following Bhotekoshi floods

KATHMANDU — Prime Minister Walendra Shah has started discussions with the people’s representatives of various districts and local levels that have been declared disaster-hit areas following the Bhotekoshi floods in Rasuwa.

KATHMANDU: The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers is holding discussions with the chiefs of 15 disaster-affected local governments and members of the House of Representatives from Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Dhading, Gorkha and Tanahun at 11:00 am today.

The discussion will focus on the review of the post-flood situation in the affected areas, the current situation, the steps to be taken now and the recovery.

Bikram Timilsina and Achyutam Lamichhane, Mayor of Bidur Municipality Rajan Shrestha, Mayor of Belkotgadhi Municipality Jagat Bahadur Gurung, Chairman of Kispang Rural Municipality Birbal Tamang and Chairman of Tarakeshwor Rural Municipality Shiva Adhikari were present in the meeting.

Similarly, Chairman of Uttargaya Rural Municipality Madhav Prasad Aryal, Chairman of Kalika Rural Municipality Hari Krishna Devkota and Chairman of Ama Chhodingmo Rural Municipality Buchung Tamang are also present. Chairman of Gosaikunda Rural Municipality Kaisang Nurpu Tamang participated in the online discussion.

Chairman of Galchhi Rural Municipality Kedarnath Khatiwada, Chairman of Siddhalek Rural Municipality Parshuram Khatiwada, Chairman of Gajuri Rural Municipality Ganesh Lal Shrestha and Chairman of Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality Krishna Bahadur Thapaliya (Bibek) were present in the discussion.

Til Bahadur Thapa, chairperson of Devghat Rural Municipality of Tanahun, Shukra Chuman, chairperson of Abukhaireni Rural Municipality and Dipak Timilsina (Sakar), chairperson of Gandaki Rural Municipality of Gorkha, are also participating in the discussion.
