KATHMANDU: Chairman of Kispang Rural Municipality in Nuwakot district, Birbal Tamang, has been arrested from Singha Durbar while returning from a meeting with Prime Minister Balen Shah.
Police arrested him from Singha Durbar Gate.
The Prime Minister held discussion with the people’s representatives of the flood-affected areas at Singha Durbar today.
According to the police, Chairman Tamang has been arrested in a banking fraud case. He has been kept in the police range Durbar Marg.
Bank, Development Bank, Hydropower Company and one and a half dozen companies have declared dividend.
