Kathmandu. A fire broke out in the Supreme Court case area last night due to a short circuit. The fire damaged tables, chairs and three computers in the case area.

According to sources, the fire broke out due to an electric short circuit during the night. It is said that the fire broke out when the door of the office was closed, so the incident was reported only after the office was opened.

Although the fire damaged some physical materials and electronic equipment in the case area, important files and files are safe, the source said.

Earlier, the court has been conducting its functions from the annex building and the under-construction new building after the Supreme Court was set on fire during the Jenji agitation on September 9, 2083.

At present, the bench and administrative work of the Supreme Court are being operated from a part of the new building under construction.
