Bhadrapur Customs Revenue Collection Improves

Bhadrapur. Bhadrapur Customs Office has collected more revenue than the target in the first two months of the current fiscal year 2083/84.

The office collected Rs 4,66,49,540 revenue during the period. This is 118.34 per cent of the total target set for the two months.

According to Prabhu Narayan Mehta, chief customs officer of the office, the increase in revenue collection has increased due to the increase in the import of goods through the customs point due to the increase in the activism of the Armed Police Force in controlling theft and import in the border areas. He said that the import of sarees, kurtas salwars and other clothes has increased especially during this period.TAG_OPEN_div_24

The office has collected Rs 3,16,15,422 against the target of collecting Rs 2,10,24,000 in August alone. This is 150.38 per cent of the target. Earlier, Rs 1,50,34,118 revenue was collected in July.

The office has set a target of collecting revenue of Rs 26.28 crore for the current fiscal year. The collection during the two months is 17.75 percent of the annual target.

Likewise, Rs TAG_OPEN_div_16 18.44 million 12 thousand 323 was collected from customs duty, Rs 62,77,296 from excise duty and Rs 1,322,389 from agricultural reform duty, according to the office.

In the last fiscal year 2082/83, the office could not meet the target of revenue collection set by the office. In that year, out of the target of collecting 250.35 million revenue, only 18,60,95,844 i.e. 74.34 percent or 18,60,95,844 was collected.
