Kathmandu. Ncell has announced a partnership with the Nepal Association of Travel Operators (NATO). The main objective of this collaboration is to make it easy, simple and reliable for international tourists visiting Nepal.

The memorandum of understanding (TAG_OPEN_p_14 MoU) was signed by Ncell’s Chief Consumer Business Officer Upang Dutta and NATO President Bishwesh Shrestha amidst a program organized at Nepal Tourism Board on Thursday.

This collaboration aims to provide telecommunication services to tourists visiting Nepal from different countries to stay in touch with their family, friends and others throughout their travel. It is believed that communication access will be further facilitated especially while traveling to various tourist destinations and remote areas of Nepal.

} As per the agreement, Ncell will provide reliable mobile connectivity to tourists and NATO will provide information about Ncell’s products and facilities through its network of travel operators spread across the nation.

Speaking at the event, Dutta, Chief Consumer Business Officer of Ncell, expressed his confidence that Ncell’s network and NATO’s reach across the country would make travel experience more pleasant and memorable.TAG_OPEN_p_11

He expressed his confidence that this collaboration would help promote ‘Nepal Kaling’ campaign and establish Nepal as a major tourist destination.TAG_OPEN_p_10

Stating that the crux of tourism is to connect people, cultures and experiences, Shrestha expressed his enthusiasm towards this collaboration with Ncell which will help tourists stay connected throughout their journey.TAG_OPEN_p_9

Apart from telecommunication services, Ncell, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, will support the construction of modern WAAS (safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene) infrastructure along major highways through Ncell Foundation. The initiative will be launched as a pilot project from Gajuri of Dhading.

According to Ncell, this initiative will address the growing convenience needs of the tourists and local communities using the highways. It is also expected to further strengthen the shared commitment of both organizations towards sustainable and responsible tourism development.
