Kathmandu. The printing of driving licenses has started through the Electronic Driving License and Vehicle Registration System (EDLVVRS) implemented by the government from July 1.
The Department of Transport Management under the Ministry of Infrastructure Development has started the printing press service through a new system to address the problem of license printing license seen for a long time and pressure of service seekers.
The new system will make the process of getting a new license and renewing the old license more fast, easy and service-oriented. Arrangements have been made to send the details of the service recipients uploaded to the EDLVRS directly to the security printing and the security printing will print the license and send it to the concerned Transport Management Service Office through post. This will solve the old problem of license printing and distribution.
In the first phase, 3,081 driving licenses of Madhesh Province have been printed and sent to the concerned Transport Management Service Office through postal office.
Provisions have been made that the concerned provincial government can print the driving license on its own by entering into an agreement with the security printing. Accordingly, the Madhesh Province government is printing the license under its own management by signing an agreement with the security printing. Similarly, the Lumbini Province government has also started the printing of the driving license by signing an agreement with the security printing on Friday.
In case the provincial government has not signed an agreement with the security printing, arrangements have been made to print the license in coordination with the Department of Transport Management and Security Printing keeping in mind the pressure and problems of the service seekers.
After the printing of license started through the new system, the system of providing driving license to the service seekers easily, quickly and on time has been implemented by managing the responsibility of printing according to the province.
