Kathmandu. Prime Minister Walendra Shah will leave for the United States of America this evening to attend the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations. He is scheduled to leave for New York at 7 pm.

In the absence of Prime Minister Shah, the responsibility of the acting Prime Minister has been given to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle. Prime Minister Shah had recommended to President Ram Chandra Poudel to appoint Wagle as the acting Prime Minister in his absence. On the basis of this recommendation, President Poudel appointed Wagle as the acting Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Shah is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly on September 22. He is scheduled to return home on September 24 after attending the UNGA.
