Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balendra Shah has directed the lawmakers to contribute to the development of the country according to their expertise. During a discussion with the lawmakers of engineer background representing the Federal Parliament in the House of Representatives at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar today, Prime Minister Shah urged them to focus on long-term policies and new ideas rather than political issues.

“You yourselves are knowledgeable about technical issues, you are in the policy-making position of the country, make the maximum use of your knowledge, skills and experience for the development of the country,” the Prime Minister reiterated. ”

He also advised the lawmakers to give priority to their technical skills and professional identity along with party politics. Prime Minister Shah said that although it is natural to be active in party politics during elections or political activities, he urged them to focus on technical issues for the development of the country at other times.

Describing the MPs present during the discussion as ‘extraordinary’ people, he said that an ‘extraordinary’ person never talks about events and personalities. He said that the ‘extraordinary’ person always talks about new ‘ideas’ and works on them, so the country will be built in five years.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister’s Minister for Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal, political advisor Asim Shah, lawmakers Tapeshwar Yadav, Jagdish Kharel (Dolakha), Ashish Gajurel, Ujjwal Kumar Jha, Arbind Shah, Dharma Raj KC, Shreeram Neupane, Sagar Dhakal, Sushil Khadka and Dr Ram Lama. Ram Lama were present on the occasion.
