Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised the Indian pilots and passengers for their role in preventing a possible major crash by taking control of the plane after the co-pilot attacked it during the flight.
The co-pilot of the FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv attacked another pilot, and the plane descended about 17,000 feet within a minute and had to make an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. Of the 174 passengers on board, 166 were Israeli nationals, according to media reports. All passengers are safe, according to FlyDubai.
Prime Minister Netanyahu said that the co-pilot had tried to kill all the passengers by crashing the plane. He praised the passengers for helping to prevent a major disaster.
