Dhading. The alternative road brought into operation after the bridge over Phurke Khola at Gajuri Rural Municipality-2 in Dhading along the Prithvi Highway will be closed for five hours today.

According to the District Administration Office, all types of vehicular traffic will be closed from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm today in view of maintenance of Parewatar-Pipaltar-Adamtar-Belintar-Master road section.

Chief District Officer (CDO) Laxmi Pandey informed that the alternative road has to be repaired at several different places.

On August 25, the flood in Bhotekoshi swept away the concrete bridge over Furke Khola under the Prithvi Highway. After the bridge was washed away, the Parewatar-Pipaltar-Adamtar-Belintar-Master road section is being used as an alternative route.

The District Administration Office has urged passengers and vehicles to use Dhadingbesi-Sunaula Bazaar-Bhorle-Kosikhola-Phosretar-Kalleritar road section or any other alternative route.
