Kayal and Chaudhary claim to be led by Nikki

Kathmandu. The 32nd general meeting of the Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry is going to be held on October 29. The general assembly will also elect a new working committee for the next two years.

Two members are vying for the post of president to lead the association. For the post of president, there is a competition between (incumbent vice-president) Kunal Kayal and (executive committee member) Karan Chaudhary.

As per the election schedule, the party will file candidacy for the post of president and 9 members on October 7.

Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in B.S. It was registered as a bi-national chamber of commerce and industry in the District Administration Office, Kathmandu in 2049 B.S. and established as an important organization continuously working in the field of trade and investment promotion between Nepal and India.

If the leadership is elected through the election process this time, it will be the second time in the 33-year history of the association. Earlier, during the general assembly of the association, Saurya Shumsher JB Rana was elected as the president through the election process.

The contenders for the post of chairman are representatives of Nepal’s industrial business group. Kunal Kayal is a director of Birgunj-based Kayal Group and Karan Chaudhary is the managing director of CG Holdings (Chaudhary Group).
