6 decisions of the Council of Ministers: From compensation to employees

 

Kathmandu. The meeting of the Council of Ministers held today took important decisions ranging from providing compensation to 153 victims, recommending to the President to issue various ordinances and promoting high-level employees.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar today approved the compensation to 153 victims recommended by the National Human Rights Commission for compensation.

The meeting also decided to give consent to the Portugal government to establish a Consulate General in Kathmandu.

The meeting decided to recommend to the President to issue ordinances to amend some Nepal Acts, ordinances to amend some Nepal acts related to forest and ordinance to amend some Nepal acts related to disasters, according to government spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Rokharel.

The meeting also decided to promote Joint Secretary of Nepal Engineering Service Grouping, Nabin Raj Singh, to the post of Gazetted Special Class Secretary.

Chakra Bahadur Budha, joint-secretary at Nepal Administrative Service Grouping, has been promoted to the post of Gazetted Special Class Secretary.

The government has also decided to promote Deputy Auditor General Chandra Kanta Bhandari to the post of Deputy Auditor General of Gazetted Special Class.
