Maxus e-Deliver 5 16-seater electric minibus launched in Nepal

Kathmandu. Himalaya Motox Pvt. Ltd., the authorized importer and distributor of Maxus for Nepal, has launched a 16-seater electric minibus ‘Maxus e-Deliver 5’ in the Nepali market. The electric minibus has been priced at Rs 69,50,000.

The minibus was jointly launched by Himalaya Organization’s Chairman Dhruba Thapa, Director Akash Golchha and Managing Director Saurav Thapa in Kathmandu. The company’s Chief Executive Officer Kapil Siwakoti was also present on the occasion.

According to the company, the Max e-Deliver 5 is especially suitable for use in hotels, resorts, tourism, and commercial transportation. The use of electric vehicles is expanding in the Nepali market, with comfortable travel, modern safety technology and well-equipped interior design, this minibus is expected to add new options in the field of commercial vehicles.

Earlier, the company also launched the ‘Maxus e-Terron 9’ pickup in the Nepali market due to its attractive and sturdy design.

The Maxus e-Deliver 5 is equipped with a 64 kWh CATL battery. According to the company, according to the NEDC test method, it can travel up to 400 kilometers on a single full charge.

Its electric motor produces a maximum power of 120 kWh and 240 Nm of torque. It also has a DC fast charging facility of up to 70 kWh. With the help of this technology, it takes about 36 minutes to charge the battery from 20 percent to 80 percent.

The minibus has a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system to make the journey smooth and convenient. The system supports Bluetooth, USB, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In addition, there are four levels adjustable steering, a modern cockpit and steering control switches. The company claims that these features will make it easier for the driver to operate the vehicle and make the travel experience more comfortable. For safety, the Max e-Deliver 5 comes with technology such as a 360-degree aroundview camera, automatic emergency braking, a system that warns of the risk of collision with the vehicle in front of the vehicle, and adaptive cruise control.

There is also a lane exit warning system, assistive technology to maintain the vehicle in the lane, emergency lane control and driver condition monitoring system. Airbags for the front seat passengers, electronic stability control and tyre air pressure monitoring system are also available.

The minibus has a ground clearance of 200 mm and alloy wheels are available on all wheels. These features are expected to make it easier to operate the vehicle in different road conditions. The company said that the Maxus e-Deliver 5, manufactured in China under the world-renowned SAIC Group, comes with an eight-year warranty on the battery and a five-year warranty on the motor.

The company claims that this minibus, which is aimed at hotels, resorts and tourism entrepreneurs who want to use electric commercial vehicles, has more features and attractive price than competing vehicles. The showroom of Maxus E-Deliver 5 is located in Hattisar, Kathmandu.
