Bhotekoshi and Trishuli flood insurance claims Rs 20.90 billion, how much has been paid?

{{TAG_OPEN_div_50} Kathmandu. Insurance companies have received initial insurance claims of more than Rs 20.90 billion for the damage caused by the floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.

TAG_OPEN_div_48 According to the Insurance Authority of Nepal, as of October 11, 2,427 insured persons have received initial claims from 18 insurance companies. The total estimated claim amount for flood damage is Rs 20.90 billion. Insurance companies have paid only Rs 23,52,58,000 so far.

Among the insurance companies, Himalayan Everest Insurance has the highest claim amount. According to the report, the company has received claims of Rs 66.11 crore from 161 insured.TAG_OPEN_div_46

Similarly, Sanima GIC Insurance has claimed Rs 34.32 crore for 192 insured and Shikhar Insurance has claimed Rs 26.55 crore for 459 insured.TAG_OPEN_div_44

Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance has claimed Rs 17.58 crore for 229 insured people and Rs TAG_OPEN_div_42 12.53 crore for 266 insured people in Siddhartha Premier Insurance.

Shikhar Insurance has been ahead in the payment of insurance claims for flood damage. The company has so far paid Rs 19.89 crore.

Similarly, United Ajod Insurance has paid Rs 1,49,62,000, IME Prudential Insurance Rs 1,16,53,000 and Siddhartha Premier Insurance Rs 67,92,000.TAG_OPEN_div_38

According to the insurance policy, the highest amount of initial claim has been made in property insurance. Under this head, claims of Rs 95 crore 71 lakh 98 thousand have been received from 572 insured. Out of this, Rs 8 crore 62 lakh 83 thousand has been paid so far.

Under the Engineering and Contractor Risk Insurance, 174 insured persons have received a claim of Rs 43.9 TAG_OPEN_div_34 7 crore. A payment of Rs 30 lakh has been made under this head.

The highest number of initial claims of Rs 28.50 crore have been received from 1,068 insured under motor insurance. Out of this, Rs 6.07 crore has been paid, according to the statement.

Similarly, under the transport insurance scheme, 106 insured persons received a claim of Rs 23 crore 40 lakh 59 thousand and Rs 7 crore 82 lakh 72 lakh 72 thousand has been paid.TAG_OPEN_div_30

Under other insurance, claims of Rs 15.10 crore have been made from 455 insured. So far, Rs 76.30 lakh has been paid under this head.

Under the health insurance scheme, 52 insured people have received an estimated claim of Rs 23.9 million.TAG_OPEN_div_26
