TAG_OPEN_div_24 KATHMANDU: The Nepal Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain and snowfall in different parts of the country due to the influence of the low-pressure system developing in the Bay of Bengal by the end of next week.
According to Rajan TAG_OPEN_div_22 Maharjan, meteorologist at the Department, there will be some influence of the Westerly wind in the beginning and middle of the week and the influence of low pressure system that will be formed in the Bay of Bengal towards the end of the week.
TAG_OPEN_div_20″There are chances of moderate snowfall at many places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces towards the end of the week. Light rain will occur at a few places of these provinces while heavy snowfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the mountainous region of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces,” he said. ”

Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places of all the hilly regions in the beginning and middle of the week. Moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of the hilly region towards the end of the week. Light rain is likely to occur at a few places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of Lumbini province.
TAG_OPEN_div_14 There is no possibility of rain in the beginning and middle of the week in the Tarai region. Meteorologist Maharjan said that moderate rain is likely to occur in some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and few places of Sudurpaschim province towards the end of the week.
According to him, heavy rain is likely to occur at a few places in the Tarai region of Bagmati and Gandaki Province and at one or two places of Koshi, Madhes and Lumbini Province towards the end of the week. Maharjan said that the maximum and minimum temperatures of different parts of the country are likely to decrease slightly in the coming week.TAG_OPEN_div_12
