KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has initiated the process of merging the LP gas industries operating in Nepal.

The corporation has stated that it will continue the policy of merging the LP gas industries operating under different names and brands according to point no. 32 of the approved policy and program of the current fiscal year 2083/084. According to 32, the policy of merging the LP gas industries operating under different names and brands will continue.

In this connection, the NOC has sent a letter to all the gas industries on October 26, 2083 requesting them to encourage the policy of merger and to forward the process by formulating an action plan accordingly.

This initiative is expected to help make the sale and distribution system of LPG more systematic, easy and consumer-friendly.
