Kathmandu. Kathmandu Gorkhas defeated Lumbini Lions in the second match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Kathmandu defeated Lumbini by 36 runs. Chasing the target of 161 runs, Lumbini made 124 runs in 19.3 overs. Sandeep Jora top-scored for Lumbini with 44 runs while Avishesh Gautam scored 16 runs.

For Kathmandu, Juhandad Khan took 4 wickets while Karan KC took 2 wickets. Earlier, Kathmandu lost the toss and batted first and scored 160 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.

For Kathmandu, David Warner scored 66 runs while Sahil Patel scored 38 runs. Similarly, Sahan Arachchige scored 34 not out. Reuben Trumpelman, Sher Malla and Abhishesh Gautam took 2 wickets each.

With this, Kathmandu has registered its third win and has climbed to the second position with 6 points. Lumbini is at the top of the table with 7 points.
