PM Oli’s emphasis on improving international financial system

Sevilla. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, while addressing the closing session of the Civil Society Forum as the chief guest, stressed the need for reforming the international financial system.

Prime Minister Oli, who is on an official visit to Spain to attend the 4th International Conference on Finance for Development of the United Nations, stressed the need for developing countries to fulfill their commitments for financial investment. He said the civil society should continue to raise its voice on the unfinished agenda for development cooperation, credit sustainability and reform of the international financial system.

“You are not only a participant in this conference, but also a catalyst and a strong voice for change. Your advocacy and voice can contribute to the kind of results seen,” he said, adding, “Nepal is moving ahead on the journey of good governance, development and prosperity by believing in good governance, rule of law and democratic values and values.” Nepal is clear in its belief that investment should be made in the world on the basis of inclusiveness, necessity and proportionality. I appreciate the global partnership and participation of civil society in this regard. ’

Stating that the advocacy of civil society would strengthen the people, the earth and common responsibilities, he called for moving ahead for building an equitable and sustainable future without leaving anyone behind.

Speaking at the programme, which was also attended by Spanish Government Vice-President Calvo Poyato, PM Oli said that everyone should fulfill their common responsibility to use private sector capital to create good jobs and to find resources for promotion and mobilization and development of inclusive growth. The declaration adopted by the civil society session will be adopted by the ‘Fourth International Conference on Finance for Development’.
