Dhanusha. Janakpurdham: The Janakpurdham Branch of The Agricultural Materials Company Limited has so far sold chemical fertilizers worth Rs 363.96 million in the current fiscal year 2081/82 BS. According to acting office chief Bechan Sah, the company has so far sold urea worth Rs 143.022 million, DAP worth Rs 222.465 million and potash worth Rs 8.475 million.

According to the office, the company has received 8,172 metric tonnes of urea since the fiscal year 2081/82 BS. Similarly, DAP received 5,258 metric tons and potash 297 metric tons.

According to Sah, the company has so far sold 8,408.150 metric tons of urea, 4,835.150 metric tons of DAP and 249.200 metric tons of potash.

Last year, the remaining stock of urea was 962.500 metric tonnes, DAP 83.750 metric tonnes and potash 98.500 metric tonnes.

According to acting chief Bechan Sah, the sale price of urea is Rs 850-50 per bag, DAP rs 23,000 and potash Rs 17,000 in the current fiscal year.

The Janakpur branch of The Agricultural Materials Company Limited has been distributing the fertilizer through 209 dealers in Dhanusha district and Mahottari district. According to the Fertilizer Food Guidelines, 2077 BS, each municipality has a local fertilizer distribution management committee. The committee, comprising the chief coordinator and member of the deputy mayor or vice-president, administrative officer, agriculture section chief agriculture member secretary, has taken the responsibility of controlling the rate of chemical fertilizers, controlling black marketing and managing the sale and distribution.

According to Sah, the Ministry of Land Management and Cooperatives of the Province has been providing fertilizer food through the Agricultural Materials Company Limited dealer as per the quota fixed by the municipalities in the respective districts. According to the information received, the decision to increase the quota of DAP fertilizer so far is in the process of coming. Paddy, wheat, maize as well as oilseeds have been distributed for girls.
