Kathmandu. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has said that the budget has been presented as per the spirit of democracy and republic.
Responding to the queries raised by lawmakers in the National Assembly meeting, Finance Minister Poudel said that the budget was prepared under the system and not in a systematic manner.
He said that the budget has come in a factual manner and not as a ritualistic one and it will be implemented after it is approved by the parliament.
Finance Minister Poudel said the government was aware that the scope of the loan should not be unlimited and special attention would be paid to utilize the production and capital expenditure.
According to the Finance Minister, the revenue target will be achieved by expanding the scope of tax, controlling leakages, engaging in information technology and effective revenue administration.
Stating that Nepal should come out of the grey list and pay attention to money laundering, Finance Minister Poudel expressed the belief that the government was discussing about the grievances of the businessmen involved in the business of gold ornaments and would reach a common conclusion through discussion.
Finance Minister Poudel said that the suggestions given by the lawmakers in the budget making process have also been taken into consideration.
