Kathmandu. Securities Board of Nepal Chairman Santosh Narayan Shrestha has said that the second stock exchange should be licensed.
Speaking at a meeting of the Finance Committee here today, he said he believed that it would be appropriate to give licenses to new stocks. He said it was the same thing he saw.
“By the time I became the president, a lot of processes were going on. It was stopped in the middle,” he said, adding, “The Government of Nepal has gone ahead according to whatever instructions have been given to me.” I have acted accordingly. That’s his responsibility, he said. He also informed that the new stock exchange has been studied for a long time.
