Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to invest Rs 600 million in fixed deposits in banks and financial institutions.
The central bank has decided to keep the amount in the gratuity and pension fund as a fixed deposit.
Of this, Rs 480 million will be kept in commercial banks, Rs 90 million in national level development banks and Rs 30 million in finance companies.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged interested banks and financial institutions to submit proposals with interest rates for the deposits.
The proposal is scheduled till 7 pm on Sunday. The proposal has to be submitted by e-mail. This deposit investment will be for a period of 366 days from July 11 to July 15, 2018.
