Meeting of Revenue Advisory Committee of Metropolitan City concludes: Limit of about Rs 25 billion budget for next fiscal year

Kathmandu. A meeting of the Revenue Advisory Committee of The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has concluded. A meeting chaired by Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah at the Office of the Metropolitan City, Kathmandu Plaza, decided the budget limit for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 BS.

The meeting is preparing to make the budget public by fixing a limit of about Rs 250 million for the next fiscal year. In the meeting, Chief Shah directed to increase the budget for infrastructure development so that development works would be carried out as per the wishes of the people. The Revenue Advisory Committee has also decided to increase the budget for infrastructure development in the next fiscal year as compared to the current fiscal year.

The 40th municipal executive meeting to be held on Friday will decide the date of the municipal assembly and make the budget public through the municipal assembly.

Mayor Balen will present the policy and programme for the upcoming fiscal year while Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol will present the budget.

The meeting was attended by coordinators, members, member secretaries and departmental heads of the Revenue Advisory Committee.
