Kathmandu. A meeting of the National Development Problem Resolution Committee has begun to discuss the status of the country’s macroeconomic indicators, trends, status of public finance mobilization, progress of national pride events.

Chaired by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the meeting was held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar. Shivaraj Adhikari presented 16 issues in the meeting.

These include change in the model model of development, medium-term expenditure structure, upgradation from least developed country, national priority projects, infrastructure construction, education, skill development, capacity development, health check-up of workers going for foreign employment, health science academy, purchase of health-related medicines and equipment, tourism, purchase of real estate of diplomatic missions, provision of debate advocacy and legal defense, human resource management and public service delivery. Issues including implementation of the decision of the National Development Problem Resolution Committee have been presented.

Vice Chairman of The National Planning Commission Prof. Shivaraj Adhikari made a presentation on the status and trend of macroeconomic indicators, the state of public finance mobilization of the Government of Nepal, the updated status of social and infrastructure development, the updated status of sustainable development goals and upgradation to developing countries, the progress status of national pride projects and first priority projects, the macroeconomic situation of the provinces and the implementation of the decisions of the meeting of the National Development Problem Resolution Committee.

Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Urban Development Minister Prakash Man Singh, Education Minister Raghuji Panta, state chief ministers, chief advisor to the prime minister, chief secretary, secretaries, chiefs of security bodies and special category officials were present in the meeting.
