931 houses in Myagdi get drinking water facility at a cost of Rs 67 million

Myagdi. Drinking water facility has been extended to more than 900 households in the district with ‘one house, one tap’.

According to Division Chief Jhalak Mohan Ojha, access to drinking water has been extended to 931 households through the schemes implemented by the Water Supply, Water Resources and Irrigation Division Office in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS. Of the 1,283 taps constructed, 931 have been fitted with meters.

The project has constructed 3,119 meters main, 106 kilometers branch pipeline, 22 reserve tanks with a capacity of 4,072 cubic meters and 277 other structures.

Of the Rs 69.825 million allocated for 36 projects of the state government, 35 have been implemented and 96.09 per cent or Rs 67.095 million has been spent. Of the rs 5.1 million allocated for five projects of the federal government, rs 4.395 million or 86.19 per cent has been spent on the implementation of three schemes, ojha said.

This year, drinking water facility has been extended to one house in Dowa, Histan Aula, Pulachaur and Daha-Khark of Baranja. Dil Prasad Fagami, chairman of the consumer committee of the Aula Scheme of Gharamdi Drinking Water Scheme, said that drinking water has been distributed to all the consumers by installing a tap with meter in their homes.
