Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is carrying out reconstruction of Ga-Hiti located in Ward-26.

The reconstruction work is underway under the Heritage and Tourism Department of the Metropolis. Since the condition of Hiti, which has historical and cultural significance, is very dilapidated, work is being done under the leadership of the Consumer Committee to preserve it in its old form.

In coordination with Thamel Gashiti Family Users Committee, the ground is being constructed using archaeological bricks, wood work and painting are being carried out.

The total contract amount of the project is Rs 7.33 million excluding VAT and overhead. The agreement was signed on February 20, 2018 and is scheduled to be completed by February 20, 2018.
