Revenue collection in fy 2080/81 is rs 4 billion more than in fy 2080/81

Chitwan. The Inland Revenue Office, Bharatpur has collected Rs 4.52 billion more revenue in the fiscal year 2081/82 than in the fiscal year 2080/81.

In the previous fiscal year, rs 20.56 billion revenue was collected, while in the last fiscal year, rs 25.09 billion was collected. According to Bimal Poudel, information officer at the office, 94.89 percent of the revenue collected in the last fiscal year.

In the previous fiscal year, only 73.64 percent of the target was collected. According to him, 77.94 percent of the target revenue has been collected in the fiscal year 2079/80 BS.

According to the office, since the beginning of the last fiscal year, it has focused on collecting necessary revenue after studying the details of all taxpayers, both small and big. Office chief Punya Bikram Khadka said that the tax collection campaign has been intensified by writing letters to the taxpayers who do not pay taxes.

The office had encouraged taxpayers to pay revenue by calling them to the office by telephone. According to him, tax education program has also been organized in collaboration with the organizations related to industry and commerce.

Chief Khadka said that the office has collected the highest revenue in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS after covid-19. Information Officer Poudel said that the revenue could be increased due to continuous hard work.
